What is a party bike?
The Tour De Tavern is literally a giant bike for you and a group of people to ride on. 6 people pedal on each side while there is room for up to 3 people to sit on the back seat. While you and your friends enjoy drinking and/or socializing with each other and pedaling, our Tour De Tavern driver is responsible for all steering and braking. The driver also enforces all rules on board. The bike has a top speed of 5-8 MPH depending how fast everyone pedals and obeys all traffic laws.
There are eleven (11) bikes available to book for small and large groups alike, each holding up to 15 people. They are stylish, safe, functional, and kept in the best condition. And they each come equipped with the following amenities to enjoy during your party:
Electric assist motor to help keep the pedaling easy and enjoyable.
We provide coolers, ice, and cups so that you can enjoy your cold beverages.
Storage and purse hooks in the middle of the bike.
Supreme sound system connecting the playlists on your MP3 player or smart phone to the built in speakers on the bike.
Large back bench seating for those unwilling or unable to pedal.
Custom interior and exterior lighting creating a warm, inviting and photogenic ambiance.
Alcohol & Food
Yes & Yes! We are very excited to announce that you can enjoy adult beverages on board the Tour De Tavern — available for pre-order online or available at our on-site booze shop! We have a great selection available for you at convenience store pricing – way cheaper than the bars! However, per city code and our licensing, no outside alcohol or glass containers are allowed on board. You may bring your own non-alcoholic beverages and snacks on board, though we have those for purchase as well!
We provide coolers, cups, and ice for FREE to keep your beverages nice and cold.
In addition to enjoying drinks while you and your group pedal onward, we’ve partnered with the most popular hot spots in Old Town to get you exclusive drink specials at a majority of our stops along the route.
Inappropriate Behavior = Not Cool
Tour De Tavern is a truly unique experience; everyone has fun, many pictures are taken, good memories are made, and no one gets hurt in the process. We care about your safety and the affect we have on our local community. Therefore, we implore our customers to simply be adults and refrain from inappropriate behavior. Not doing so will result in an early termination of your tour as well as a $100 penalty charge. Examples are:
Extreme intoxication
Bringing outside alcohol on board
Excessive noise
Littering, engaging in physical altercations, verbal abuse or extremely loud/consistent foul language meant harmfully
Pushing another rider, public urination, attempting to jump on or off of the bike while in motion, and throwing anything from the bike
The driver of your tour exercises full discretion on what is deemed inappropriate behavior, but basically just remember this… if you have fun, know your limits, follow our rules and act like (fun loving) adults – all will be good.
