5 Different Things to Do in Scottsdale, AZ

All too often we’re stuck with the problem of what to do, whether it’s planning a special event, visiting from out of town, or needing to reward/entertain a group of people. Here are some interesting, unique and fun things to do in Scottsdale, AZ!

TOUR DE TAVERN
Need we say more? The Tour de Tavern has all of the credentials for a fun time. As a giant group bicycle/bar on wheels, groups of up to 14 people can tour the streets of Old Town Scottsdale while enjoying libations on board, enjoying drink specials at the bars along their pub-crawl tour, or just enjoying the scenery of Old Town with a gallery tour.  Check out more on Tour de Tavern’s party bike here: https://tourdetavern.com.

TOP GOLF
Think bowling and ski ball meet putt putt golf. Top Golf is a 4-5 story building that opens up to a massive open-aired field with netting. Sort of like a multi-level driving range. Your goal is to get your balls into different holes for more points.  It’s incredibly fun to do with a group of people and gets competitive! With entertainment, a loungey atmosphere, food and drinks galore, and the promise of fresh air, it’s fast becoming one of the most popular entertainment spots in Scottsdale, and that’s because it’s just awesome. RESORT POOL TIME
Arizona is known as a resort heaven because of our weather, dry crisp air and mountains. We are warm and cozy here, so naturally people flock from all over the country when winter hits. Scottsdale in particular has some of the best resorts in the nation, and their all in a pissing contest for the best pool experience – so you benefit. Whether you’re traveling from out of town or just want to do something different, book a few nights in one of Scottsdale’s resorts (there are many) and get ready to enjoy the sun, the pool and other amenities like spas. If you’re looking for some low-key R & R, then look up all of Scottsdale’s luxurious resorts!

HORSEBACK RIDING
If the weather is cool, and you love the mountainous desert terrain, you need to experience it on the back of a horse. It’s quite a magical time, as you are not only getting to ride a horse and feel like a cowboy, but you’re also getting to see all of the beauty the Arizona desert has to offer that isn’t viewable by roads. Get into the back woods with a guided horseback ride tour, but make sure you choose a company that is licensed and insured, and make sure they treat their horses humanely!

ARCOSANTI
Everyone who has lived in Arizona for more than a few years knows about Arcosanti. Arcosanti is an urban laboratory focused on innovative design, community, and environmental accountability. Built by over 7,000 volunteers since the commencement of the project in 1970, Arcosanti provides various mixed-use buildings and public spaces where people live, work, visit, and participate in educational and cultural programs. Every year Arcosanti welcomes 50,000 visitors who come and experience firsthand the vision and architecture of this vibrant educational community in the beautiful high desert of central Arizona. This is a true MUST, so learn more here: https://arcosanti.org.

Even if none of the 5 things above sound appealing to you, make your way to Old Town Scottsdale – a drag much like the Gaslamp Quarter of San Diego and home to many of the best restaurants, bars, clubs, galleries and shops. Are you looking for great Arizona events?
